A seminary is only as strong as its faculty. Essential elements for selecting the faculty are credentials, communication skills, proven loyalty, local church commitment, personal godliness, and strong family background. Often I list our MTS priorities for all of its employees as simply as character, commitment and competency. When God brings someone like this along to match a need at MTS, I pay attention.
Adding faculty members is a huge step of faith. Every addition will forever change the dynamics of a well run, highly functional team. Yet, a growing seminary will always need to make these additions to meet the needs of a constantly expanding student body. MTS prioritizes preparing pastors. Our Pastoral Ministries emphasis and Missions component requires a resident faculty who has a heart for the local church, experience as a pastor and someone with a vision for the world.
I am very pleased to announce that with all of these parameters in mind, Rev. Eric Moore has been hired to join the faculty of MTS specializing in Pastoral Ministries, which includes an emphasis in Missions. Eric is the Senior Pastor of a dynamic church plant in Southfield, MI called Tree of Life Bible Fellowship Church. Eric is a graduate of U of M (MBA), Dallas Theological Seminary (MABS) and Western Conservative Baptist Seminary (D. Min. Candidate). Students who have sat under Eric’s teaching give him raving reviews. Families who sit under his shepherding, tout his heart and skills as a spokesman for Almighty God. We here at MTS are proud to have Eric join our distinguished faculty.
