MTS–Michigan is located in the city of Plymouth, one of the oldest communities in Michigan. Founded in 1867 by settlers from Plymouth, Massachusetts, the city has a population of nearly 10,000 and features a vibrant mix of shops, restaurants and specialty stores located around a central park. The downtown area has been renovated, and the city offers family and community events throughout the year.
Although MTS–Michigan provides no student housing, there are several apartment complexes within a reasonable distance from the Seminary.

The broader area of Southeastern Michigan boasts the state’s largest population. Greater Detroit is home to nearly 5 million people. Its strong international flavor includes large populations of African-American, Arab, Greek, Jewish and Polish families. Much of the area’s industry centers on automotive production. MTS–Michigan is located within a 20 minute drive from the Detroit Metropolitian Airport and within a 45 minute drive of most Detroit metro areas.
Recreational opportunities abound in the area, including boating, fishing, camping, skiing, and snowmobiling.
