Dr. J. Brian Tucker is an Associate Professor of New Testament at Moody Theological Seminary–Michigan. He teaches classes in New Testament and Theology. Dr. Tucker has 19 years experience as a youth pastor, worship leader, and senior pastor.

Dr. Tucker received a Bachelor of Science (Pastoral Studies) from Lee College, a M.A.R. from Liberty University, a M.Div. from Michigan Theological Seminary, a D.Min. in Expository Communications from Michigan Theological Seminary and a Ph.D. in New Testament from the University of Wales. He has published articles, book reviews, and is currently working on two books related to Paul, Contextualization, and Identity Formation.

Dr. Tucker uses various interactive teaching methods in class and loves the challenge of finding the best ways his students learn. Students describe his classes as high energy, interesting, humorous, and practical.

Dr. Tucker and his wife of 21 years, Amber, live in southeast Michigan, with their daughters Ashley (18), Alexandria (15), Annaliese (14), and Abigail (9).
