Dr. John M. Restum is Professor of Psychology at Moody Theological Seminary–Michigan. He taught theology and apologetics classes before assuming his current position as Director of the Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology program.

His academic duties at Moody Theological Seminary–Michigan include both teaching clinical psychology related courses and supervising the clinical practicum program.   He has been formally trained in clinical psychology and theology and endorses an integrative theoretical approach toward the two disciplines. His clinical experience includes hospital, outpatient and correctional setting work.  Dr. Restum also provides clinical consultation via a professional relationship with the Wayne County Sheriff and Detroit Police Departments.

Dr. Restum and his wife Annette have two children.
