Join in Our Vision

Dear friends,Dr. Paul Nyquist, President

I’m thrilled to welcome you to the Moody family!  As you may have heard, the merger agreement between Moody Bible Institute and Michigan Theological Seminary was formalized on January 1, and we are delighted to partner with you and the new MTS: Moody Theological Seminary–Michigan.

The merger, which was approved by the Higher Learning Commission with stipulations, will provide MTS with many new opportunities for growth and diversity. It is our goal to use the opportunities this merger provides to enable students, faculty, and staff from both campuses to better serve the Lord and His people.

Our schools share the same mission of training and equipping students for Christian ministry. By God’s grace and strength, we will be more effective for the Kingdom than ever before. As we move forward together in 2010, I ask for your continued prayer support for Moody Theological Seminary–Michigan. Your faithful partnership over the years has been vital, and it will continue to be vital in the future.

We are so grateful for your support, and we look forward to all that God is going to do through MTS in the years to come. To God be the glory!

Your partner in the gospel,

Paul Nyquist

Rev. Terry Robinson"More than a degree, MTS–Michigan prepares its students for Real Impact."  When taking charge of an urban ministry, it’s especially important that efforts go beyond simply speaking and sharing experiences.  “You also need to walk the walk. You have to be careful that you’re not, as they say, sharing unlived truths,” says Terry Robinson, Director of the Here’s Life Inner City urban ministry in Detroit.  “We’re dealing with a lot of poverty, and people in crisis. And they’ll sniff it out if you’re not genuine.” Robinson credits his MTS–Michigan training for his ability have real impact on the lives he touches.
