Does MTS provide Ministry Training or programs for lay ministers and church leaders like deacons, elders, and Bible teachers?

Yes, the Graduate Certificate in Biblical Studies (GCBS) is a 30 hour Ministry Training program designed to provide a broad biblical base for those who have graduated from college or university.

The program applies biblical truths to the practical problems of life and ministry around the world. By providing an understanding of the Scriptures and systematic theology, followed by the integration of this knowledge with modern strategies for ministry, the program seeks to provide the capabilities needed for ministry and personal growth.

Students in the GCBS program gain confidence in understanding the Bible through a foundational teaching through all 66 books of the Bible so they may understand what God says through His Word. They are strengthened in understanding theology through a study of the major doctrinal themes of the Bible. Further, the student is prepared for a lifetime of Bible study skills preparing him or her of various ministry settings including church leadership, chaplaincy, and Bible teaching.
